Windows in on a selected part of the viewing area.
The Window tool displayed above is used to rescale a selected window of the data base to fill the viewing area.
To use the Window tool, select the tool by clicking it with the accept mouse button. Then move the cursor into the viewing area and press the accept mouse button at a corner of the required window of interest. Hold down the accept button and drag the cursor to the diagonal corner of the window of interest. This displays a dynamic drag box which defines the window of interest.
On releasing the accept mouse button, the selected window of the data base will then be redrawn at an enlarged scale to fill the viewing area. That is, you will see less of the data base but at a larger viewing scale.
Control will stay in the Window tool allowing you to progressively Window in on other parts of the data base.
Clicking the snap mouse button will show the Display menu. The Window tool may also be exited by selecting any other tool or command.
