Pan CameraPan Camera

Allows the user to pan the camera in the 3D scene.

Panning the camera changes the camera target, but leaves the camera position unchanged.

To use the Pan Camera, select the tool by clicking it with the accept mouse button.

Hold the left mouse button down and slowly move the cursor over the scene. The camera will start to pan the camera target.

Holding the SHIFT key down at the same time will cause the effect of the camera's position standing still, but the camera's target will change with the mouse cursor, so as to seem to be looking around the scene.

Unlike the Orbit camera, which rotates the camera about the camera target and changes the camera position, the Pan Camera rotates the camera about the camera position and changes the camera target.

Control will stay in the Pan tool allowing you to progressively pan further around the scene.

Clicking the snap mouse button will show the Display menu. The Pan tool may also be exited by selecting any other tool or command.
