Orbit CameraOrbit Camera

Allows the user to orbit around a point in the 3D scene.

The Orbit Camera will move the camera position around the camera target.

To use the Orbit Camera, select the tool by clicking it with the accept mouse button.

Hold the left mouse button down and slowly move the cursor over the scene. The camera will start to orbit around the camera target. The camera will stop orbiting when the left mouse button is released, unless the Continuous Orbit setting is active.

Unlike the Pan Camera, which rotates the camera about the camera position and changes the camera target, the Orbit Camera rotates the camera about the camera target and changes the camera position.

Holding the SHIFT key down at the same time will cause the effect of the camera's position standing still, but the camera's target will change with the mouse cursor, so as to seem to be looking around the scene.

Clicking the snap mouse button will show the Display menu. The Orbit Camera may also be exited by selecting any other tool or command.
