Join (Section View)

(This functionality is available with the Profiles and Design module)

Used to join points on long sections and cross sections.

When the Edit/Join command is selected from the Profiles task, the join curser appears indicating that the command is active.

You can then snap to and accept to select the first point. An elastic band will appear indicating that the selection has been made. Repeat the process to select and accept the second point. A line segment joining the two points has now been created. Note: Points that can be selected are defined by two criteria. 1. Only points that are at the end of the profile can be selected, and 2. Only points that are part of the same profile can be selected.

To end the command press the Join toolbar button, the Esc. key or select another command.
