(This functionality is available with the Profiles and Design module)
Setting the attribute information that applies to the CAD output of each long section in a long section view.
Setting configurations in this dialog can be saved by name in the currently open long section CAD output layout file.
The Long Section Parameters option can be chosen from the CAD Output dialog. This dialog is displayed after selecting the CAD Output command from the Profiles task in a long section view.
Long Section Parameters dialog box
Item | Used to |
Long Section: | List the long sections currently displayed in the long section view. Select a long section to display and set its parameters. |
Attributes The Output at Table and Output at Point settings in the Attributes group apply to the following long section point attributes; Chainage, Distance, Elevation, Cut, Fill, Identifier, Code, Description, Intersection Angles. |
|
Output at Table: | Output the selected attribute to be displayed in a table format. This option will only be active when the attribute is selected. |
Output at Point: | Output the selected attribute to be displayed next to the point. The attribute's position
at the point is determined by the settings in the CAD
Output/Point Settings command. This option will only be active when the attribute is selected. |
Symbol: | Toggle the display of point symbols. |
Locations | |
Key Points: | Toggle the display of the selected Point Attributes at key points. Crossing Breaklines Toggle the display of the selected Point Attributes where a breakline crosses the long section. |
Crossing Planimetric Lines: | Toggle the display of the selected Point Attributes where a planimetric line crosses the long section. |
Points Within Offset Range: | Toggle the display of selected Point Attributes that are included in the offset range that was previously defined in the Long Section Parameters dialog when the long section was created. |
Model Intersections: | Toggle the display of selected Point Attributes at the intersection of model triangles that the long section cuts through. |
Section Markers: | Toggle the display of the selected Point Attributes at section markers. |
Custom Points: | Toggle the display of selected point attributes at custom points. |
Section Edges: | Toggle the display of selected point attributes at section edges. |
Computed Points: | Toggle the display of selected point attributes at computed points. |
Floating Points: | Toggle the display of selected point attributes at floating points. |
Vertical Tangent Points: | Toggle the display of selected point attributes at vertical tangent points. |
Vertical Hi/Lo Points: | Toggle the display of selected point attributes at vertical hi/lo points. |
Daylight Points: | Toggle the display of selected point attributes at daylight points. |
User Defined Interval: | Toggle the display of selected Point Attributes at a user defined distance interval. This value must be positive non-zero and will only be available if the User Defined Interval check box is selected. |
Surface Line Settings | |
Layer: | Set the CAD layer (Applies to LISCAD CAD or AutoCAD). The layer name can be any integer number from 1 to 32000 for LISCAD CAD and up to 32 character alpha numeric name for AutoCAD. |
Level: | Set the CAD level (Applies to MicroStation). The level may be any integer from 0 to 63 for V7, or up to 32 alpha numeric characters for V8. |
Weight: | Set the line weight of the point symbol that is output to a CAD system. For LISCAD CAD, the
weight entered is the thickness of the line when plotted at the scale of the plan to be created.
The value entered for weight depends on the Utilities/Configure/Units linear settings. For metres
enter the weight in mm, otherwise enter the weight in inches. For MicroStation V7, select a value from 0 to 15. For MicroStation V8, select a value 0 to 31 or select ByLevel. Please refer to the MicroStation documentation. |
Curve Surface Line: | Curve the long section surface line according to the Curve factor. (See below) |
Curve Factor: | Set the curve factor attribute between 0 and 100. The curve factor governs the degree of curvature applied when the Curve Surface Line option is selected. (see above) A lower curve factor will tend to create splines that are displayed with straight line segments, where as a higher curve factor will tend to splines with all segments displayed as curved. |
Geometry | |
Horizontal: | Toggle the display of horizontal line type names that make up the long section. |
Vertical Curve Length: | Toggle the display of the vertical curve length. |
Vertical K Value: | Toggle the display of the vertical k value. |
Vertical Curve Radius: | Toggle the display of the vertical curve radius. |
Grade Line: | Toggle the display of the grade line. |
Apply to all Long Sections: | Apply the settings currently set against the selected long section and apply the settings to all other long sections in the drop down list. |
Settings The settings group controls the storage of long section parameter settings. |
|
name: | Enter or select all long section parameter setting combination names stored within the current long section layout file. |
Load: | Load the selected long section parameter setting combination. |
Save: | Save the selected long section parameter setting combination. Note that it is not possible to save these settings unless a layout file is loaded. Please Note: For each long section, if you wish to save the settings, you must save them to a different name. This is because the layout (and settings saved) file is not job dependent, and may be used with any job. |
Delete: | Delete the selected long section parameter setting combination. |
OK: | Save the settings and close the dialog. |
Cancel: | Close the dialog without saving any changes made since the settings were last saved. |
