Allows a selected scan to be downsampled to a new scan by filtering the scan points to a specified minimum separation.

Item | Used to |
Current Scan Name | Select an existing scan to be downsampled to the new scan. |
New Scan Name | Enter in a new scan name for the new downsampled scan. |
Grid Size | Enter the grid size. This defines the minimum separation between resulting points in the downsampled scan. |
Apply | Downsample the selected scan to the nominated new scan. The process creates a 3D voxel grid over the cloud and in each voxel, all points present are reduced to their centroid. The greater the grid size, the greater the degree of downsampling |
