Disabled Objects

Generally speaking disabled objects will not be used by any functionality in LISCAD. Point, line and text objects can be disabled. Disabling objects provides a means of preventing them from being used without deleting them or having to transfer them to another Group.

An exception to this is a breakline that is enabled that contains disabled points. In order for the breakline to be used in the model the points within the breakline will be used. In this case the higher order object (the breakline) takes precedence over the lower order objects (the disabled points within the breakline).

Disabling objects is particularly useful when overlaying design information over an existing surface. By disabling the existing surface information beneath the design it is possible to model the combined existing and design surface information without having to delete any existing data. This means that before and after surface models can both be kept in the same data set.
