The default communications settings are designed to work effectively if the GRE3 data recorder and the GIF2 are set up as follows.

The internal switch settings for the GIF2 must conform to the following:

Transferring data from the GRE3
Ensure that you have carried out the appropriate steps in the procedure for Processing a Field Survey up to the step for initiating the transfer of the data. Then, to initiate the transfer, carry out the following on the GRE3
- Press DATA
- Press GOTO
- Input the starting block number (Optional) and Press RUN
- Press SEND
- Input the number of blocks to be sent (Optional) and Press RUN
Note that if there is no starting block entered, GRE will send from block 1 and if the number of blocks is not entered, all blocks will be sent.
