Traverse File Editor: View Menu

(This functionality is available with the Input / Output module)

On selecting the Options menu from the Traverse File Editor, the following commands become available.

	Angles
	Arcs
	Elevations
	Co-ordinates
	Point Code
	Point Description
	Line Code
	Line Description
	Auto Number
	Set Radiation

These options are used to govern the display in the traverse file editor and determine the status of observations. A tick indicates the option is active.

Command	Used to
Angles	Set whether the From column and Angle column is displayed. These columns are only needed if the traverse file contains angles.
Arcs	Set whether the Radius column is displayed. This is only needed if there are arcs in the traverse.
Elevations	Set whether the Diff. Elev. column is to be displayed. Turn this option off if there are no elevations differences in the observations.
Co-ordinates	Set whether the East and North columns are displayed.
Point Code	Set whether the Point Code column is displayed.
Point Description	Set whether the Point Description column is displayed.
Line Code	Set whether the Line Code column is displayed.
Line Description	Set whether the Line Description column is displayed.
Auto Number	Set whether the point identifiers for new observations are to be generated automatically. If active, the next At identifier will default to the previous To identifier and the next To identifier will default to one greater than the At identifier.
Set Radiation	Toggle whether an observation is to be treated as a radiation. Radiations are shown underlined and are not part of the traverse. Radiations can be entered on the same page as a traverse, except that the co-ordinates of the fixed points placed before each radiation block should not be entered. This can cause errors. When the traverse calculation is done it will compute these co-ordinates, so you should not enter them. Other alternative ways to enter the data are shown below: Data cannot be entered in any other way. If a traverse sheet only contains radiations, then these can only be from a single station. To have multiple radiation blocks you must have a traverse on the same sheet which includes all of the points you want to radiate from.
