The topic provides information about transferring data between the system and Nikon instruments that utilise the AP-700 survey data management.
Transferring data from the Nikon Instrument
Note that the system does not perform the download of data from the Nikon equipment as this is carried out by Nikon software (NS-95 Database Utility). Please refer to your Nikon documentation.
Once you have the raw data file downloaded, it is necessary to open the file in a text editor and add the following record at the start.
Nikon AP-700
This record is needed by the system to identify the type of raw data to be processed.
Transferring co-ordinate data to the Nikon Instrument
- Connect the Nikon equipment to the computer and follow the Nikon instructions to place the Nikon equipment in a state ready to receive co-ordinate data.
- Use the Output/Data Recorder command to send the co-ordinates from the system to the Nikon Equipment.
