Least Squares Adjustment Editor: Options Menu

(This functionality is available with the Adjustment module)

On selecting the Options menu from the Least Squares Adjustment Editor, the following commands become available.

These options are used to govern the display in the least squares adjustment editor and determine whether certain values are to be automatically generated. A tick indicates the option is active.

Command Used to
Elevations Set whether the following columns are displayed:
  • Elevation column in the station window.
  • Diff. Elev. column in the observation window.
  • SD Elev. column in the observation window.
Turn this option off if there are no elevations involved in the observations or stations.
Angles Set whether the From column is displayed. This column is only needed if angles are being entered.
Auto ID Set whether the point identifiers for new observations in the observations window are to be generated automatically.
If active, the next At identifier will default to the previous To identifier and the next To identifier will default to one greater than the At identifier.
If inactive, the next At identifier will default to the previous At identifier and no default will be placed in the To field.
Auto SD Set whether the standard deviation cells in the observations window are to be skipped during the data entry process.
The values default to the standard deviations which are set in the Field Transfer/Settings/Instrument Settings command, whether Auto SD's is active or not. Auto SD's only determines whether the standard deviation cells are to be visited or not when using the TAB key for data entry. When Auto SD's is active, the standard deviation cells are not visited.
Station Set whether the stations window is to be displayed.
Observation Set whether the observations window is to be displayed.
