Textures are images that can be used to render the surface of models or individual triangles in the 3D view.
Texture images are usually small rectangular images that can be tiled seamlessly.
Each texture has a ground width. This represents the size on the ground that the width of the image equates to.
Users can create their own textures by selecting an image, giving it a ground width and a name. Most common image formats can be used to create a texture.
Typically images used for textures are relatively small e.g. 200 x 200 pixels. Large images should be avoided as they need to be imported into the LISCAD SEE data file, substantially increasing the size of the file, and will also cause a loss in performance. Ideal images are those that can be tiled seamlessly, that is if the left and right edges and the top and bottom edges are placed next to each other the pattern would match exactly.
Textures can be created and edited using the Select/Edit Textures command.
Textures on models can be added, removed or changed by using the View/Edit Model Attributes command.
Textures on individual triangles can be edited by using the Set Triangle Attributes, Adopt Triangle Attributes, Edit Triangle Attributes and View/Edit Triangle attributes commands.
