(This functionality is available with the Computations
module)
Converts text objects to points. This is particularly useful if you have imported text objects from AutoCAD which represent elevations at their hot points. You can use this command to convert the text to points at the required elevations.
The Edit/Objects/Text to Point command is selected from the Computations task.
Text to Point dialog box
Item | Used to |
Use text height | Select that the elevation of the text will become the elevation of the resulting point. The text can only be converted if it has an elevation. |
Use "text" as height | Select that the text itself will become the elevation of the resulting point. The text must consist of numbers that can be converted to an elevation. |
Convert | Converts the selected text to a point according to the selection made. The point is created at the position of the text origin. |
Warning: Because MicroStation does not store the co-ordinate of text hot points, text imported into LISCAD from a DGN file cannot be placed at the same position.
