Finds and reports on polygon overlaps or hiatuses within the region of a nominated bounding polygon. The command is very useful for locating and correcting any unintended overlaps or hiatuses, and assuring the quality of subdivision designs.
The Examine/Find/Polygon Overlap command is selected from the Computations Task.

Item | Used to |
Bounding Polygon: | Key in or select the polygon number of the bounding polygon. This is the polygon, within which you wish to locate overlaps or hiatuses between any contained polygons including the bounding polygon. |
Issue: | Displays text describing any overlap or hiatus issue found along with the relevant polygon number, after pressing one of the navigation buttons. |
Point ID: | Displays the point ID of the polygon that overlaps or forms an hiatus with the polygon identified in the Issue field. The point ID is also graphically highlighted and the rubber band attached. |
East / North / Elevation | Displays the coordinates and elevation of the point ID. |
Report | Displays a detailed report on all the overlaps and hiatuses found within the region the bounding polygon. |

Next: | Find the next polygon with an overlap or hiatus. |
Previous: | Find the previous polygon with an overlap or hiatus. |
Close | Close the dialog box. |
