Edit Point Identifiers

(This functionality is available with the Computations module)

Used to change the identifier of individual points.

The Edit/Point Identifiers/By Point command is selected from the Computations Task.

Item	Used to
Current Point ID	Key in the current point identifier of the required point, or alternatively use the mouse to select the required point and have its current identifier automatically placed in this field. Note that if the data base is configured for non unique point identifiers, any non unique point must be selected by the mouse (not by keying in the identifier), so as to uniquely determine which non unique point is to be changed.
New Point ID	Key in the new point identifier to be used for the above selected point.
OK	Change the point identifier of the selected point to the new point identifier.
Close	Close the dialog box.

The point identifier is not changed until the OK button is selected.

Note: Once OK is selected, if the new New Point Id entered already exists, there is an option to use the next available point identifier.
