Break

(This functionality is available with the Computations module and the 3D Visualisation module)

Breaks a line or spline at a selected point to convert the line or spline into two objects.

This dialog box is displayed after selecting the Edit/Break Line command from the Computations task or the 3D Visualisation module.

Item	Used to
Break Line	Key in the line number of the existing line which is to be converted to two lines. Alternatively, snap to an existing line to have its line number placed in this field and an associated point identifier placed in the At Point field. Pressing the accept button will then break the selected line at the selected point identifier
At Point	Key in the point identifier at which the selected line is to be broken. Alternatively, snap to an existing point to have its point identifier placed in this field and its associated line number placed in the Break Line field. Pressing the accept button will then break the selected line at the selected point identifier.
Break	Break the selected line at the selected point.
Close	Close the dialog box.
