The appropriate dialog box is displayed after clicking a Set Button in the Code settings dialog box. (Refer to the Settings/Codes command in the CAD Output task).

The exact nature of the dialog box depends on which Set button was selected (i.e. which attribute settings are being reviewed). It also depends on which CAD system has been selected for output in the CAD Output Settings menu (i.e. LISCAD CAD, AutoCAD, or MicroStation). Some or all of the following fields may be present.

Item Used to
Layer: Set the CAD layer for LISCAD CAD or AutoCAD. The layer may be up to 255 alpha numeric characters. Layers names are allowed to have spaces.
Level: Set the CAD level for MicroStation. The level may be 0 to 63 for MicroStation V7, or up to 255 alpha numeric characters for later versions.
Line Weight: Set the weight for lines.

For LISCAD CAD for Windows, the weight entered is the thickness of the line when plotted at the scale of the plan to be created. The value entered for weight depends on the Utilities/Configure/Units linear settings. For metres enter the weight in mm, otherwise enter the weight in inches.

For MicroStation V7, select a value from 0 to 15. For MicroStation V8, select a value 0 to 31 or select ByLevel. Please refer to the MicroStation documentation.

For AutoCAD, the line weight maybe selected ByLayer, ByBlock, the current AutoCAD drawing default line weight, or any of the predefined AutoCAD line weights available in the dropdown list. Please refer to the AutoCAD's documentation.
Height: Set the text height on the plan.
The units will be in millimetres or inches on the plan depending on the units set in the Utilities/Configure/Units command.
Width: Set the text width on the plan. The units will be in millimetres or inches on the plan depending on the units set in the Utilities/Configure/Units command.
Colour: Select the colour number to be assigned to the attribute.
Font: Set the text font of the attribute.
The font is selected from a list box for LISCAD CAD.
For MicroStation V7 key in a legal font number. For MicroStation V8 key in a legal font name.
For AutoCAD key in a legal alpha numeric font name.
Refer to the Font topic for further information.
Slant: Set the text slant of the attribute.
The slant is in decimal degrees measured clockwise from the vertical.
Direction: Set the text direction of the attribute.
The direction is entered in decimal degrees mathematical convention anti clockwise from the east.
The effect of setting a direction is to rotate the text about the point to which it refers.
This item is only available in the point attribute Set button dialog boxes.
Origin: Select the origin of the attribute.
This item is only available in the point attribute Set button dialog boxes.
Refer to the Origin topic for further information.
Proportionality Select whether the font used is to be proportional or non proportional.
The effect of a non proportional font is to evenly space the characters and numbers.
Proportionality: Select whether the font is to be proportional or non proportional.
This option is only available for LISCAD fonts (not true type fonts nor MicroStation nor AutoCAD fonts.
The effect of a non proportional font is to evenly space the characters and numbers.
Suffix/Prefix: Optionally select whether a prefix or suffix is to be added to the relevant point attribute. This is available for point attributes: ID, easting, northing, elevation, description and code. Ensure you also key in the required prefix or suffix in the available field.
